We use D Restaurant for our wedding reception. We enjoyed every single bite. The owners were helpful and friendly. The staff did a great job during the wedding and after everyone was gone. They made sure everything was clean. We’ve visited their restaurant at least once a week and we’re glad they were able to cater our special day. Highly recommend this place. Great service, great people and tasty food.

This place is incredible. The owners are some of the kindest people I’ve ever met, and their food is SO amazing. The proportions are so great for the price. You HAVE to try the pupusas and I could drink their mild and spicy salsas. Don’t forget dessert, either. So good with a coffee :-)

Absolutely incredible experience! The empanadas and fajitas were out of this world—packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. Hands down the best chips and salsa I’ve had anywhere, definitely better than any Mexican restaurant in Waxahachie. What really made the visit even more special was our server, Iris. She gave fantastic recommendations and made us feel completely at home with her warm hospitality. We’ll definitely be coming back!

I had the Pollo Guisado and my wife had Sam’s enchiladas. The sauce on both dishes was perfect. The dishes were brought out promptly, and everything was cooked to perfection! I also had an old fashioned, and it’s the best one I’ve had in a long time! Great food, service, drinks, and atmosphere!!

This was our first visit, and we were so impressed! Iris was incredibly helpful with her recommendations. The food was fantastic—our mango habanero margarita was especially fresh and flavorful. The ambiance was lovely, and the restaurant was spotless and well-maintained. We are looking forward to coming back soon!

I was fortunate enough to Eat at this restaurant while I was visiting Texas from Germany . The food was fantastic. Part of the appeal was that you could tell. The owners and staff were excited to see you enjoy their food. It was the same is visiting someone's home and them preparing you something authentic. I had a mole and a verde gorditas these we so delicious a must try. A beautiful spicy coffee. Mexican style French toast and an omlette fried yucca and sausages. All of it was delicious. I wish it was local for me.... But I'm so happy I was able to try all of the great food.

More than meets the eye! I knew this place was born from a food truck at Railport Brewery... And remember liking the tacos the one time I had them... But in two years haven't stopped in because the exterior of the building is VERY unassuming. If the food/service/atmosphere were represented by the exterior, I wasn't motivated to check it out. However, you step in to a different world! The service was very friendly and helpful. Carlos took the time to answer copious questions about his background and the type of food we were going to experience. His suggestions were relevant and appreciated (and on point!). The food, from the chips that were authentic in appearance and whose flavor and crunch didn't disappoint, through the starter empanadas, main dishes (a Cuban inspired dish that my customer loved and the fried fish tacos that reminded me of my old home of San Diego), and finally the delectable peach empanadas (a twist on a delectable gooey peach pie), was all prepared with care and attention to detail. The main dining area is simple and connected to the kitchen, there's a detached bar that had a cozy vibe (opens at 230), and an overflow dining area that was decorated appropriately and had pleasant cultural music playing. I know I'll be coming back with my wife and see many more business lunches there. It's great to have a high quality, unique restaurant in the downtown area, with the added benefit of being open six days a week (closed Sunday) which is unique in the area. A lot of restaurants nearby are closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Thanks for bringing such a pleasant option to Waxahachie! May you have success and be there for us for years to come!

We traveled from Dallas to discover this gem. Latin Cousin is a fusion of Veracruz-style and Honduran cuisine. This place takes you straight to Veracruz, Mexico, through its flavors. For over 15 years, I’ve visited restaurants all across Texas, and Latin Cousin is undoubtedly in my top 3. Run by its very kind owners and served by Alexa, their waitress. Thank you for making our day!
